4th of July

Kasey is out of town this week so she passed Friend Making Monday on to one of her friends Shawn . She thought it would be fun to do a Friend Making Monday on the 4th of July and I agree as it is only 5 days away!

the 4th of July is a big deal to my husbands family! We spend the weekend at the cabin with family and lots of food. We take a few hours out of our day to go to the Schuler side and spend some time with them and play cards and hang out and eat more food! I have really enjoyed becoming apart of this family and all the family traditions that they do or celebrate.

We usually buy our own Fireworks and put on a little show just right at the cabin! The men usually light all the the fireworks while the ladies and children sit back and relax ( its only fair after all the women spend most the day in the kitchen )! I am hoping that this year I can make or bring something to share with everyone as most of the time grandma and all the aunts, or moms make all the dishes! I love making dips and different types of appetizers so I think I will choose one or two of those!

As far as pictures go . . I take a ton but I don't think I have ever dressed Alex in a big 4th of July outfit! Maybe it's something I will have to start doing! Here are a few pictures from the past few years!

Cute pics of your 4th, is that Alex? She's so tiny.

I would have known a few of those flag questions but definitely not all of them.
