The Minnesota Zoo

Last Thursday we took the kids to the Minnesota Zoo. The morning was rough so I called my mom and asked if she would come along to the Zoo with us. I have 4 children ( 3 that I watch and Alex ) and I do not have a car that is big enough to haul all those kids. I am lucky that my mom doesn't work and that she is able to come with on these fun trips with her daughter and granddaughter.

We got there around 12 and had lunch right away. We headed to the Tropics Trail, then went through the Minnesota Trail because both of those trails are inside and it was rather hot that day. After the two inside trails we ventured outside to a little splash area. The kids love this because they can get wet and cool off. After the splash area we decided to head back in and get a treat and head home.

It was a short stay at the the zoo but it was well worth it and everyone had a great time! Some of the highlights of the trip where: getting to pet a huge snake, seeing baby swans, and watching three different snapping turtles.

I love going to the zoo and can't wait to go back and see the other trails.

Sounds like fun, I wish we had a zoo close by. It's almost 2 hours away.

How fun! I used to work at a learning center with the kindergarten kids and we took them to the zoo every summer and I just loved seeing all there little faces light up at the animals. So much fun. I bet you guys had a blast. How nice that your mom can join you on these fun trips.

Zoo's are a lot of fun...I always feel bad for the animals though!
