The Great Minnesota Get Together

The Minnesota State Fair

It is crowed, all the weirdos come out, smells like farm animals but for some reason we go every year and we love it.

This is the 3rd time Alex has gone and she had a lot of fun this year.

The first stop was the Miracle or birth barn and she got to see lots of baby animals. She got to pet a day old pig, a 3 day old lamp and a baby chick.

The first thing she tried was grandpa's Pronto Pup and she loved it. I think she ate more then grandpa wanted her too.

Alex also got to go on a lot of rides. She went down the Giant Slide ( which she went down last year) and she was not that fond of it. If you where to ask her about it she will tell you she cried.

Grandma took her on bouncing trucks which Alex really enjoyed.

Then she got to go on the swings herself. I was a little worried she would be scared and not like it but she loved it. She wanted to go again.

Love her tongue sticking out.

She also want on a dinosaur ride which she loved because she got to press a button and it made some crazy noises. Plus a little boy sat behind her and she enjoyed his company.

Last she went on bumper boats and this one really made me nervous. I was worried she would try and stand up or touch the water. She did great and stayed seated the entire time and loved the bumper boats.

After the rides she got a big snow cone. I ended up taking the top part off because it was just WAY too much. She made a mess out of it and it was a good thing I had another outfit packed.

She also got to share corn on the cob with me. She loves corn on the cob and the Fair has the BEST corn on the cob.

Of course we had to get cookies. They come out hot and they are so yummy.

One look at one of the streets at the fair.

We had pronto pups, pork chop on a stick, brats, fresh squeezed lemonade, diet coke, snow cones, slat water taffy, cookies, corn on the cob, big fat bacon, and french fries.

We had a great time at the Minnesota Sate Fair.

Thank you Grandma and Grandpa!

Thank you! I was surprised that he sat still for as long as he did!

I get them several different places. A few little boutiques around our area mainly. One of my mom's friends makes some & I get a lot off of ebay. You can find brand new things on there at a steal of a deal. I was surprised when I 1st started looking there.
