Turkey Day

We had a great Thanksgiving. We got to hang out at home and I actually got Alex to take a nap around 12:30 pm before we had to leave at 2:30. I was really worried I would not be able to get her to nap and was so glad when she finally fell asleep. We had a busy day planned and we knew we wouldn't be home until after 9pm that night.

We started the day off at my aunt Cathy's house on my dads side. My dad comes from a large family and we knew that there would be close to 40 or 50 people there. All of them being my aunts, uncles, cousins, grandma, and a few great grandchildren.

I love getting together with my dads side of the family and we always have a blast. We didn't spend as much time there as we would have liked but Alex was running around playing with all the kids, toys and the piano.

We had a great meal and did lots of socializing with my aunts and uncles. There where 4 different table set ups and you could barley move because there where people everywhere. I wish I would have taken more pictures of all the groups because the way they have to organize everything is amazing.

She loved playing the piano and as much as I would love to get her one of these large amazing pianos, we have no room in our house for that. So I hope a small lap piano will be just fine! :)

She played so loud that we finally had to make her get off of the piano and venture down stairs to the toy room and pool table. Before she went down stairs she said hi to her great grandma Mary and showed grandma Mary her pretty necklace she was wearing.

She found the pool table, could barley see over it but had a great time using the pool stick, saying "Nice One", "Yes" and "Awesome".

After Aunt Cathy's house we ventured to my mom and step dads for another Thanksgiving Dinner. My mom, step dad, brother, sister in law and my family where there. We talked a bunch, looked at all the ads, ate a great meal and played with Alex.

She is always full of so much energy and keeps everyone on there toes. She played cars with grandpa, made bird sounds on uncle Adams shoulders, played hide and seek and helped make the meal.

Alex with Grandma and Grandpa!

We never did get a family picture of Chad, Alex and I but hopefully one day we will! We had a great Thanksgiving and ate way to much food. When we got home I left right away to go shopping at the outlet mall and didn't get home until about 1:30am. Grandma and Grandpa Schuler as well as uncle Eric came while I was gone and have spent the weekend with us.

There are lots more pictures to come as we had a very busy weekend!

Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving.
