Great Grandma Schuler

I have always talked about how important Alex bond with her grandparents is to me. Its extremely important. The 2nd most important thing besides her bond with Chad and I. I am not that close with any of my grandparents and I don't have many memories that include just my grandparents and I.

It is extremely important to me that Alex builds memories with her grandparents. That she remembers the things they do with her and for her. That she remembers making cookies, going to see Santa, going to Disney On Ice, my mom taking her to gymnastics, going to the cabin with grandma and grandpa Schuler. Those things that they do with her and for her are so extremely important.

Alex is lucky that she has great grandparents around. I knew being a young mom was important to me because I wanted her to know the people that are most important to chad and I. When it comes to family, both Chad and I know that our families are the most important things to us. We live for our family and we truly enjoy spending time with them whenever and where ever we can.

So to see these pictures of Alex and her Great Grandma Schuler are so special to me. When I 1st met chad he had nothing but amazing things to say about this Grandma. He had stories to tell about her and this weekend I got to see one of the stories unfold. Great Grandma Schuler told stories ( not only told but wrote Chad and his brothers ) about this wolf that lived under her fridge ( or that went golfing, or where ever else this wolf might adventure ). When we got there on Christmas Eve she told Alex a little about this wolf. Alex just loved it and would try and find the wolf under the fridge. When Alex wasn't looking Chad or I would sneak her blankey by the fridge so it looked like the wolf was trying to get it. ALEX JUST LOVED IT.

Alex just lights up Great Grandma Schulers Face. She loves seeing her and watching her and bonding with her. Not only is this great for Alex but its so great for Chads grandma as well.

We had a wonderful Christmas Eve with the Schuler side. Lots more pictures to come from our jam packed weekend. We are still in North Dakota and plan on leaving at some point today/night.

My blog will be full of updates from Christmas, to potty training and entering my 3rd trimester with our unborn!

This is such a sweet post! The bonds that our children have with their other family members is extremely important. The love that they have for one another is very sweet and unlike no other!

What a sweet post! I am with you on fully involving the grandparents in my kids lives. My kids have 3 great grandparents, one of which they are incredibly close to. I often wish that my grandma was still around, because they would adore her. I love all the pictures you posted-Alex will treasure those someday!

Those pictures of Alex with her great grandma are priceless. They will mean allot to her one day when she's grown up and is able to have those to keep forever.
It is such a blessing to be able to be close to not only your grandparents but like you said Great grandparents. I was very close to mine as well and they will forever hold a place in my heart.
