herself in the bathroom, yes that would be what Alex did this morning.

My husband called me this morning to let me know that he just spent the last 10 minutes talking to our almost 3 year old daughter through the door of the bathroom trying to explain to her how to unlock the door.

These are the steps that she was to follow

1. Wipe yourself ( she was going to the bathroom and when she finished she always yells for someone to come in an wipe her )
2. Get off the toilet and flush
3. Move your little potty over to the door so she can reach the knob
4. turn the little lock thing to unlock it.

So after about 10 minutes and her sounding scared she managed to let herself out of the bathroom. He said she didn't cry at all but you could tell she was scared. I am glad it was my husband that got to go through this with Alex because I would have most likely been freaking out! Hopefully she has learned her lesson that she can shut the door but should never lock it.

Our doors aren't the kind that can just have a coat hunger stuck into the little hole and it pops open. I am going to have to figure out a different way to get into them now that we have this little accident. Maybe my husband has already figured that out or maybe there is a secret little key that works.

( these pictures were taken last week at work, they like to play hunting games. I am not a huge fan but they love it ).
