I Grew Up There

Best Places To Live
Money Magazines List Of Best Small Cities, 2010!

Money Magazine looked at jobs, crime, housing prices and quality of life.

Ranked Number One

Eden Prairie, MN

This is an overview of the high school.  Yes I know its huge 4 grades and close to 3500 students

Family friends and a dynamite economy are two of the reasons this city was ranked number one.  5.1% unemployment rate is nearly one percentage point below the country rate and nearly four points below the national average.  Eden Prairie holds over 50,000 jobs right in town.

Some of the major Employers : Fortune 500 trucking company C.H. Robinson, Hearing-Aid Maker Starkey Labs, and The Minnesota Vikings whose practice facility and front office.

While it doesn't have much of a downtown, there's plenty of outer beauty: from gently rolling hills to 17 lakes that residents flock to year-round for swimming and ice skating. Town parks are laced with 125 miles of running, hiking, and biking trails.

No wonder residents rank among the healthiest people in the nation. Add in top-notch schools and safe streets and you've got a place that's tough to beat.

I Grew Up in Eden Prairie.
Spent my entire childhood years in Eden Prairie and my Mom and Step Dad still live there.  I always said I wanted to raise my own children there, I still do just can't afford a house in that city.  It's safe and has an amazing school district.

Sports are a big thing in my family and Eden Prairie had amazing Athletics.  I played Volleyball and was on The Competition Cheer Squad.  The Football Program and Hockey have always been amazing.

I know Minnesota is a great place to live.

Sounds like a wonderful town to grow up in. I love the overview shot. It looks really pretty.
I graduated from a very large high school as well. Its good and bad I think.

Hopefully one day you can move your family to your dream town :)

I enjoy reading about places like that. I am not a big city guy and realize that the Eden Praries of the country are the true gems.
