Advice Wanted

Wild : Crazy : Energetic : On The Go : Talkative : Outdoor Lover : Friendly : Mover : Fast : Leader : Risk Taker : And More

See all those things describe Alex and the list could go on.  She is always moving, always on the go, always wanting to be outside, always wanting to be playing with someone.

I don't know if it is because of that or what is going on but she is starting to get HORRIBLE GROWING PAINS.  At least 8 to 10 times she has woken up in the middle of the night crying because her leg ( s ) hurt.  She needs someone to rub them and make the cramps / pains go away.

Last night was HORRIBLE.  She was up for atleast 3 yours crying and needed her legs to be rubbed.  It will go from her foot or leg or toes hurting.

While I am rubbing her legs I am watching the clock : 2am, 3am, 4am, 5am and in between those hours she might fall asleep for 30 minutes but then what would you know Avin wakes up to be fed.  I gave her some medicine after about 2 hours.  She did not want to take it and I almost had to force her.

Any ideas on what to do?  Or try?  Should I call the doctor about this?

PLEASE HELP!

I would call the doctor just to make sure its nothing more than growing pains.

Yuck to that! Poor baby! I would probably make her have tylenol and call the doctor, just in case.

I hope she has a better night, and you too!

Erin, I have also been debating on calling the doctor about Charli. She cries and whines about her knees hurting her a lot, even when lying down. I want to think growing pains but it worries me also since she is SO tiny. She is skinny but tall to me. But even a friend asked me the other day about what the Dr. says about how little she is. I never noticed how tiny she is until that lady said something.

Maybe we should just call? I pray that everything is okay with Alex and these pains stop soon!

Poor girl! My nephew has the same thing when he has played outside in rubber boots or flip flops all day. Normally when he wears his good shoes it doesn't happen. I would take her to the doctor though just so they can check it out!

Poor sweetie! I would try giving her a warm bath in epsom salt before bed to relax her, and give a dose of motrin. If that helps, I would definitely assume it's growing pains. If the problem persists for more than a week or two, I would call her doctor to make sure nothing else is going on.

Oh how terrible Erin. I don't know if that's normal or not but I would call the doc and maybe even see if a nurse can help you. Just in case.

I hope she starts to feel better. Poor Alex.

My oldest one is going through that. I have always hear eat more bananas and make sure they are drinking enough, so they are hydrated. I have been doing those things and giving him Tylenol. Hope it passes quickly for her, I know it's miserable.

I think you should call the doctor and just see what they say. If there isn't anything medically that needs to be done maybe they can help you with some ideas to get her through this period.

Hope you can get some rest soon!!!!!!
