7 Months

( Avin and Papa Mick @ the Cabin )

Avin is 7 months old today!

Time has gone so fast and she is growing and changing daily.

She is almost always happy and only fussy when she needs or wants something.  Her personality is taking place more and more and we are loving it.

She is loud and talkative.  Chad told her yesterday that he doesn't like her loud squeal because it hurts his eyes.  He also said he knows she does it when she wants something because it will get ANY ONES attention.

She is starting to play with more toys and she loves putting everything in her mouth.  She also loved swinging in her swing outside and could spend hours out there watching the kids play while someone pushes her.

She is currently wearing anything from 0 - 3  or 3 - 6 month clothing.  We have started to buy just 6 month clothing but that isn't that easy to find.  Target and Carters are two of the places I know that carry just 6 months instead of 6 - 12 month clothing.

She is an eater and sometimes I feel like I am over feeding her.  She loves her food and would eat only that if I would let her except for a bottle at night.  She has gotten better and I am trying to switch up her schedule.  It goes a little like this . .

Wake up between 7 and 8 am -
I used to feed her food right away but now I am trying to give her a bottle first instead of food.

between 9 and 10 am -
food and nap time
sometimes a 4 ounce bottle

between 12 and 2 pm
Food or bottle or both

between 5 and 6 pm

around 7 pm

between 8:30 and 9:30 pm
night time bottle

she loves all the foods we have given her.  She has only had veggies and fruits.  I am not a big fan of that meat in a jar so we are just sticking to the veggies and fruits for now.  She doesn't take any juice and has had water maybe 2 times.  The doctor told me to just stick with food and formula.

She takes about 4 ounces every time she has a bottle.

We have given her some puffs and yogurt melts.  She isn't a hug fan but is starting to like them more and more

She is a pretty good sleeper.
She is not on any schedule at all though and now that school is back in session I am going to try hard to get her onto a schedule.  She is usually awake between 7 and 8 am and goes down 2 or 3 hours after that for a 1 - 3 hour nap.  She is awake then for another 3 or 4 hours and takes a small nap between 1 - 1.5 hours and then always sleeps on the way home from work and is awake from 5 pm until 8:30 or 9 pm before bedtime.

She is a big time Mommy's girl but is fine with her daddy!  It is nice because Chad will sometimes keep her inside while Alex and I spend time outside with the neighbors playing.  Gives me a break and helps out a ton.  Chad is fantastic with her and helping out.  He gives the girls baths almost every night.  Avin loves to take baths and splash in the water.  She loves watching her sister play int he tub as well.

Misc. Things

Size 1/2 diapers
recently found her ears
always has something in her mouth
loves when someone claps
wakes up from nap talking
dimple in her chin like her daddy
takes her nuk in and out of her mouth
can pick her nuk up off the ground and put it back in her mouth
if you tap your hand on her mouth she will start talking and loves how she sounds
( try doing it, kind of like making an indian sound )
can go from sitting to her tummy with out crashing or crying ( starting to rock back and forth )
almost can get on all fours from her belly
hates being in a wet diaper
doesn't like socks or shoes on ( this winter will be interesting )
eyes are still a deep deep blue
ticklish under her chin
loves holding onto her feet
still no teeth
can scoot backwards

My favorite new thing that Avin can do is make a kissy noise. She sucks her bottom lip in and out and makes a little kissy noise.  I love it and she sounds so cute!

Another one of my favorite things is that Alex talks to Avin just how I talk to her.  Repeating the things that I say to her.  I always call her sweetie sweetie and it is so cute to hear Alex say that to her.  I just love watching there interaction together and the bond that is growing so strong.

Happy 7 months Sweetie Sweetie
( Avin should be 5 months old, it is funny to still get the up dates from some of the family sites that think she is only 5 months old but she is really 7 months old.  She is thriving and growing and right on track for a 7 month old.  She is our little miracle )
