Half Way There

Alex is half way to 4 today!
I can not believe that it has already been half a year sense we last celebrated her birthday.
So much changes within those short 6 months.  If I had to plan her 3rd birthday now I sure would not choose Minnie Mouse but She loved it back then.

What is Alex up to at 3 1/2 ?
Favorite Color : Blue
Favorite Food : Snacks / Frozen Peanut Butter & Jelly Sandwich
Favorite Drink : Milk - Not Chocolate
Favorite Movie : Toy Story or Curious George
Favorite Show : Dora, ICarly, Sponge Bob
Favorite Book : Anything Dr. Seuss
Favorite Activity : Anything Outside ( riding bike, playing in her 4 wheeler, swinging ),
She also loves helping in the kitchen ( baking or cooking )
Best Friends : Keylee and Mya
Sport : She is in dance

Alex personality is starting to shine.
She voices her opinion on the things she likes and doesn't like.  She wants to pick out her outfits and will tell you if she doesn't like something.  She is sassy and knows how to work it. She can be so sweet but yet so evil. There is no forcing her into doing something she doesn't want to do, I do try to brib her though and that works at times. I believe her to be a spitting image of me with bits and pieces of Chad.

She could live outside.
She loves to be doing anything and everything outside.  We spend at least 2 hours a night outside playing with the neighbors.  They ride bikes, play ball, ride on scooters, ride there motorized jeeps, play chalk, barbies and more.  She especially loves running through the sprinkler or helping water our flowers and bushes.

She loves baking.
She loves to help bake.  I am sure it is because she loves the batter or dough.  She is great at cracking eggs or pouring in each and every ingredient.  She is also great at licking the spoon or bowl when we are done. She helps both her grandmas a lot when it comes to cooking or baking.

She is a helper.
She loves to help, but you always have to ask her.  She will help with the dishes or laundry but you always have to initiate it.  She loves to feel like she is needed and when she helps and get praises she feels very needed.

Alex can saw the sweetest things that just melt my heart.
She always tells us she loves us and that we are the best.  She goes on sprees of telling us that we are the best and her best friend.  She always asks for her daddy and Avin when she wakes up in the morning.  She always tells Avin she loves her and how cute she is.

She is also a goof ball.
She says the funniest things and I always forget to write them down. Just last night she told her friend, "if you hurt me, i'll kick you." I know that shouldn't be funny but it was.  She is also so random.  She says things and I have no idea where she had heard it or how she came up with it.

She is a big sister.
Alex is an amazing big sister.  She has just recently started to really want to be around and do things with Avin.  She loves to sit by her and play with her.  She loves making her dance or trying to get her to stand.  She loves holding her or trying to pick her up.  She always wants to touch her or pat her head.  She gives her so many kisses and always tells her she loves her.  She is a perfect big sister and there sister bond is growing daily.

Her own bed.
Alex is also sleeping in her own bed now.  She is falling asleep in there for both naps and bedtime and stays in bed all night.  We do read to her in her bed and we often times stay there until she is about to sleep but during night time she just goes by herself and falls asleep.  She also only sleeps for about an hour at nap time.  If she wakes during the night I take her back into her bed.

Growing.
Alex no longer reminds me of a baby or a toddler.  She is a girl and part makes me sad and the other part is happy.  I love watching her grow and watching her personality build up.  I love watching the bonds she makes and I love learning more and more about her.  I adore watching her learn and talk about the things that she has learned.  I also love catching her in action, signing a song to her sister that she has learned on dora or another show, counting in spanish.  Things like that melt my heart and make me smile.

She is Alex. She is crazy. She is sassy. She is sweet. She is full of energy. She is energetic. She is active. She is outgoing. She loves attention. She loves candy. She hates vegetables. She showers/baths daily. She hates her hair brushed. She is loud.

She is a big sister
She is a granddaughter
She is our daughter

We love you Alex and we can not wait to see what the next 6 months brings us all.

Happy Half Birthday Sweet Girl.

Sounds fantastic--good for her and all of her accomplishments.

Our four-year old daughter is still working on the riding a bike thing (even with training wheels) she needs more practice.
