Mother Nature At It's Best

This weekend we definitely had a snow storm to remember.  We have not had snow like this in a long time.  Most people stayed at home yesterday while Alex, Avin and I ventured out to Kellys house for Kenzie 1st birthday party.

The roads where horrible yet we still went around 50 mph the entire way.  Sometimes you couldn't see anything and sometimes I was driving down a 3 lane high way in the middle of who knows what lane because it was all snow.  Sometimes we would see 3 cars in the ditch, sometimes there would be a car in front of me ( that I would follow so I could actually see where I was going ) and sometimes I had no idea where the exit ramp was.

Here are a few pictures from our yard and neighborhood to show you just how much snow we have really gotten!

The hubs was out 3 different times snow blowing.  He even did our neighbors whom we believe is out of town.

In the picture below if you look close you can see grass in between the two houses.  This shows you how much the wind was blowing and that some spots are grass and others are 4 - 6 feet deep.  Have to love wind when it is blizzarding outside!

Some pictures of are backyard.  The snow is super deep on our deck, the picture really doesn't show it that well.  We also have a rock wall in our backyard that you can now not see because the snow has made it all one level.

On Thuesday of last week my aunt told me about an activity that Creative Kids Stuff was doing.  She signed my cousins up ( the kids I watch 4 days a week ) and told me that they had a 4pm slot open so I called and signed the girls up.  I wasn't sure what to expect but I love what they got to make and wish we could have made more then one.

The End Result . . .

Sorry I can't get the last one to rotate!!

Hope everyone had a great weekend and stayed warm!

While your snow pictures are beautiful, I'm totally hating on this snow! I'm so ready for summer again:)

P.S. I'm loving your daughter's Christmas pictures on your side bar, they turned out great!

I can't believe you were able to make the drive to the party! Your snow makes the amount we got look pitiful!
