Monthly Banner Display

When I started planning Avin birthday I knew I wanted to showcase a picture of her for each of the past 12 months.  I was not sure how I would display them so I decided to just look around the blog world and Etsy for some ideas.  I got a few ideas and came in contact with Danna at Unique Scrape Designs. When I had first met her we had talked about doing return address labels for Christmas but instead we decided to do party stuff which worked out better.

When I finally decided what to do I had to find the pictures and I had no idea that it would be so difficult to decide what pictures to actual choose.  I take so many pictures that I had narrowed it down to 3 or 4 for each month and just went from there.  For some of the months I printed 2 or 3 pictures and decided the night before her party which ones I was going to use.  It actually worked out for the best that way because I ended up using the extras to fill some frames around the house.

So Danna made the little circles you see that are holding Avins pictures in place.  She designed them and made them in the color scheme of her party.  They start off with her birth date and then go to the months and then Happy Birthday for the last one.  I took them and attached them to mini Clothes Pins ( thanks to some advice from my dear blog friend Katie ) and it turned out perfect.  I then attached them to the pictures and to the ribbon I had strung along my stair case.

Everyone commented on how much they enjoyed seeing pictures of her at each month.  I thought it added a great touch to the party decorations.  The only thing I would have changed was I would have loved to see them in 3D.  I would have loved them to be a few different layers.  Which may be an option with Danna now.  I was not sure what I wanted them and I am still very pleased with how everything turned out.

Danna also helped me with the favor tags for the kids to take home.  I ordered crayons and soaps for the kids at the party to take home with them in the color scheme of her party.  I thought this was super unique and fun.  I am not a fan of going to parties and taking home bags of stuff that well I always end up throwing away because it is just cheap.  I know that sounds mean but it really is the truth and I am sure even the people that put together the bags and send them home at their children's birthday parties feel the same.

So I knew I wanted something unique and I needed something to tie it all together.  So Danna made me favor tags that turned out great.

So if you need some things to make your party a little more unique check out Unique Scrap Designs and I am sure Danna can help you out with many of your birthday needs.

Thanks Danna for making Avins party decorations stand out!
