Step Stool

It took me a long time to figure out what to get Avin for her 1st birthday.  I could think of a few small things like more headbands and tights or shoes for her but I could not think of something big that she would like, would last and actually get used.  With just having Christmas a month before her birthday and with knowing that we needed no more toys I set out to find the perfect gift.

I searched Etsy and other sites high and low and came across an idea that I was super excited about.

A STEP STOOL

Not just an ordinary step stool but a puzzle step stool.

There are not many shops on Etsy or Ebay that make these so it made shopping around really easy.  It was even easier when I came across Jackie with Pookie Boutique because she was the only one I found that made a white Puzzle Name Stool.

I was so excited that I got in contact with Jackie right after I showed my husband and he gave me the green light.  She was so easy to work with and answered all my questions.

When it came in the mail I was amazed at how HEAVY the box was.  I just wrapped the box without even looking at it and was so excited for her to open it at her party.  When we opened it we put it together right away and my husband commented on the amazing craftsmen ship and how well it was all put together. I even sit on it and it feels extremely sturdy and I feel comfortable sitting on it without having to worry about it falling apart.

So many people at the party commented on the stool and asked where I had ordered it from.
The stool is beautiful and it will be wonderful in her bedroom.  Right now it is in our living room and Alex and Avin play with the puzzel part of it daily and they both spend time sitting on it.

Avin loves the stool so much and spends so umch time with the puzzle that when I took her birthday pictures for the 2nd time I had to bring the stool in her pictures so that she would stay on the pink paper!  It worked like a charm and I got some great pictures of her and her new stool.

I wanted to share this idea with you because I think it is unique and amazing.  It is something that can go in the bathroom for her to use while brushing her teeth when she is older or to wash her hands.  It is something that can be used in the kitchen when she wants to help bake or cook and it can be used in her bedroom when she needs help getting up on her bed.  She might not use it all that much now for those things but the best thing about the gift is that she will grow into it and it will be used for many years to come.

Pookie Boutique doesn't only make Stools, it has amazing hand crafted personalized wood products as well as sewn items for babies and children. Jackie was amazing to work with and will work with you to make a custom order that fits your needs and wants.

Some of my other favorite items that I really want to purchase are . .

A Headband Holder and a Coat Rack.

I have been searching for ways to hang and keep track of all of Avin's headbands and I think this idea is perfect.  The girls also have this spot in each of their rooms where a coat rack like this would be PERFECT.  The best thing about these is that they can be customized match the childs room and they are personalized so it makes it that much more special.

Like I had mentioned before Jackie was super easy and fun to work with.  She has been great and is offering all the followers of my blog 10% off any product now through February 28th.  All you have to do is enter Schulerfamily10 when placing an order on her Etsy Shop.

So if you have a special birthday, baby shower or want something just because now is the perfect time to order and I promise you will not be disappointed.

Alex loves the stool so much I am pretty sure we are ordering her one for her birthday
( to replace that old nasty potty chair that she uses as a step stool )!

Thank You Jackie for the amazing stool and for offering this great deal to my readers!

Saw this on your blog the other day, but forgot to comment. (Story of my life these days.) Anyway, such a cute gift. We currently have about 4 step stools in use for our little guy. I have seen these at One Step Ahead too, but as you say I don't think they were white.
