Balloon Wreath

One of my twitter friends shared a link the other day for a Balloon Wreath that she was going to make for her sons upcoming birthday.  I went to the link and fell in love with the wreath and thought that I would try and make one for Alex birthday.

When it comes to arts and craft type things I am not the craftiest person out there.
NOT EVEN CLOSE!

Heck that is why I have my friend Kelly and Etsy to back me up.
But I thought I could give this a try and it turned out amazing.

So I started with this Wreath
I love how it turned out on this wreath but it was tricky
to get the floral pins in there, they did not stick the best!

I purchased around 300 balloons and 300 floral pins.
I used them all and could have added more to the wreath.

It started off slow and I started with only red and made my way around then entire wreath.

Then I added in the other colors and more red, lots more red.
After about 45 minutes I was finally finished with the wreath and in love with how it turned out.

Then I finished it off with the red and black ribbon and hung it on our front door!
Her party is on April 9th but I am just excited to get some of this stuff done and hung so that I am not rushing and panicking the weekend of her party.

So glad you posted this because I was wondering how it turned out! Of course, Wal Mart didn't have the wreath so I couldn't start on Connor's. One of the many downfalls of living in a small town :(
