The State Fair

Yearly tradition of going to the state fair with my mom and step dad is something I look forward to every Summer.  This year my sister in law and the new baby joined us and it was a great time.
The weather was perfect for the fair, we even got rained on a little bit.

We almost always take the same route when we are at the State Fair.  Our first stop for food and drinks is at the Pork Chop on a stick stand which is also right next to the Fries that we always get and share.

After that we walk around for a bit and look at different things while making our way to the rides for the girls.  Alex favorite part and she loves the rides.  She never wants to leave that area.  It was a lot of fun to have Avin be able to go on the rides this year as well and she just loved them all.

It was raining a little throughout the day so they had to close down the GIANT Slide that Alex does every year with Grandpa.   She was sad and was hopeful that the rain would stop and the slide would reopen.  We thought Alex might be big enough to go on her own this year and to be honest that freaked me out a little.  I had this vision of her going over one of the bumps and flipping over.  I was glad when she wasnt tall enough and my mom took her and my step dad took Avin for the first time.  Everyone loved it and wanted to go again!

The best food this year was this Apple Dumpling that we walked miles to get.  It was super amazing and I am not even a huge warm apple kind of person. Best thing by far and I still crave it just thinking about it.

My Sister in law and I went on this crazy ride! We were nervous to go on it and we were not sure if the money would be worth it.  It cost $25.00 for each of us to go on it.  Once we got in line and it was our turn it started to sprinkle a little. We got on the ride and were freaking out but it was the most fun ever.  The rain hurt a little bit and I had my eyes closed most the time but it was worth it all. They kept us at the way top which seemed like forever and was super scary with the wind and the ride moving.  We went in both directions but going forward was much worse.

Overall the ride was amazing and I would for sure do it again.

Little Baby CeCilia first trip to the fair was a success.
She did such a great job and slept almost the entire time.

Another great year at the Fair.  One of the things I look forward to most is going to the fair every year.  Can't wait to go again next year!
