Severs Corn Maze

Today the girls and I headed out to Severs Corn Maze.
The weather was absolutly beautiful, we could not have asked for a better day!

We had never been there before but had heard great things.
So we where excited to check this new place out.

The place was expensive...
I mean really expensive...
entrance fee and a lot of individual fees as well inside...
Thank goodness Avin was free!

I do have to give a shout out to Kristin..
For saving my ass at the ATM...
My check card is annoying and doesn't always work...
She let me write her a check in exchange for giving me some cash...
Who knew $40 in cash wouldn't be enough... YIKES!

First stop for us was the "pillow"!!
This was new to me but so much better then the Pumpkins you jump in..

Why was it better you ask...
Well because I could jump with the girls!

I absolutely love being able to join my girls in on the fun,
and participate in anything they ask me to do with them!

Next stop was the wooden train...
Love things like these...
Kids playing on them, parents taking pictures...
Crawling in and out of the tunnels, making the bell ring...
Happy kids exploring!

Then we headed off to the Giant Slide...
That slide that costs extra money and one time is never enough!

I went with Avin the first time to make sure she was ok...
More for my sake then hers, she knew she was "big" enough...
then they went again and LOVED it.

Then we headed to the pig races...
This was a hit, funny announcer with cheesy jokes...
and a great audience cheering on the pigs!

Some of the silly pig names...
Lindsay Loham, Britney Squeals, Miss Piggy...
now I can't remember the rest!

Next was shooting pumpkins...
At cars and targets!

The girls loved it, I loved it...
But Avin wasn't having a picture after!

We spent a good chunk of time in this giant corn pit...
It wasn't just a corn pit though...
They had monkey bars, things to climb on and swing on.

Feels crazy crawling around in the corn...
When you step down into it its really cold!

Nothing like walking around hours later...
and finding corn where it shouldn't be!

We headed into the little zoo area...
The girls where able to hand feed and spoon feed different animals...
I think it took them 20 minutes to get rid of their tiny cup of food...

We headed for some food after the petting zoo...
Yes we washed our hands in some insanely cold water!

We ate some cheese curds, bratwurst and french fries...
Not to mention mini donuts for desert.

After some food was in the girls belly...
They where a lot happier and had more energy!

We headed to the mini corn maze...
The girls ran on top of the hay bails...
Jumping, crashing into other kids, laughing
and getting all that new energy out.

I chased them around, jumped from hay bail to hay bail...
Held Avins hand at first until she felt comfortable making the jumps on her own
and then sat down to photo graph their fun!

We skipped out on the big corn maze...
I didn't want to do it, they didn't seem that interested...
So we didn't do it!

Here are some random photos throughout the day...
that just had no place but that the end!

 Before we headed home...
We took one more family photo...
and we picked out a few pumpkins!

We still need to carve pumpkins...
Maybe we can talk Grandma Char and Papa Jack
into doing it one night this week!

A great day was had...
Many smiles and laughs where captured...
Memories where made...
They want to go back!
