A weekend away

I could really get used to this...
A crazy busy weekend filled with kids and chaotic...
Then a relaxing weekend away just the two of us.

I absolutely love my time alone with him...
Not that I don't enjoy it with all the kids are around either...
I enjoy every moment with him and with our kids...

But there is something special about being with just him...
A car ride, a long car ride alone with just him...
No one to worry about or look after but him...
Bonding time with just him..

I spent the night at his place on Thursday night...
He surprised me with flowers and a teddy bear...
On Valentines we where able to meet up for lunch...
Which was a nice long lunch at broadway pizza...
and he surprised me with Luke Bryan tickets....
I have never done so many happy dances in my life...
Cried happy tears and honestly didn't believe him!

It was a great Valentines Day...
He is one amazing man!!!
I am one lucky girl!!!!

We headed to his parents house that evening...
We stopped for Subway along the way and got there around 10pm.
We hung out, chatted for a bit then headed to bed.

Saturday morning we were able to sleep in...
We went out snowmobiling for awhile...
We had a few break downs...

In the end Bobs parents and I went home for the afternoon...
Bob and Dave headed out together...
They like to ride fast and crazy...
So was perfect for them.

Saturday night we hung out for awhile...
Then headed out to dinner with his parents...
We came home and watched some of the Olympics and headed to bed.

I love spending time with his parents...
and having them join us on some of these adventures...

Sunday we woke up and headed up to the area where Bob hunts during the fall...
We knew there would be a lot of snow and not many tracks...

We had to try and make our own tracks...
through feet of fluffy snow...
At times I got off and bob make a round of tracks ...
At times we got stuck, tipped off...
When I stepped off that sled the snow up by to my waist in spots...

Bobs parents slowly followed behind up...
Trying to stay within the tracks that we made...

This place is absolutely breath taking...
The views and whats around you is just beautiful...
I could be there all day and just photograph a million things...

I've come to learn that I love when snow piles in one little area...
On a tree or on a stump... leaving a foot of snow in some random area...
That always catches my eye and I just think it is beautiful...

We worked the sled a little too much...
Pushing too much snow with two of us on it...
Not going fast enough...
who knows...

But I do know I have never had so much smoke in my face at one time...
I have never coughed that much in my life...
It was horrible...

After that happened we had no choice but to turn around and hope we could make it back...
We where a ways into the forest and walking back wasn't an option!

In the two hours it took us to get to where we got stuck and stopped...
it only took us 10 minutes to get back to the truck...
Thank goodness for the path we made on the way out there.

When I ride with him on a sled...
or when I follow behind him on my own sled...
I just sit and take it all in...
How lucky I am to have found him...
How amazing it is to be on this adventure with him...
How excited I am about the future.

Can't wait to get out here again in the spring...
Pack a lunch and take the four wheelers out...
Bring my big camera and capture some amazing pictures...

These are the adventures I love to be on with him...
Exploring the back roads of Minnesota...
Seeing what all nature has to offer.
