Eight

I can't believe this girl recently turned 8 years old...
How in the world is she already 8!

It took us awhile to decide what exactly to do for her birthday,
bowling, air maxx, swimming party,
boys and girls or just girls...

She decided on a swim party...
11 girls invited, some family...
Swimming, Pizza, Cake and gifts!

I love how Alex invited girls from every class...
I love that she is social and doesn't just stick to her classroom...
I love that even though she is new this year she doesn't hesitate at making friends!

It was one of the things I worried about most when we moved here...
Her finding and making friends right away...
but I should have known I didn't need to worry!

Every time I got a text or a response from one of her friends parents...
She got so excited that they could make it and help her celebrate her 8th birthday!

Every day she kept thinking of more girls she wanted to invite...
Its how we ended up with so many sweet girls at her party!

She had such a fun time with her friends!
She got some great gifts that she couldn't wait to use or wear!

I don't think she was ready to say goodbye to all her friends when the party was over...
But I know she was thankful they all took time out of their days to celebrate her 8th birthday!

Also thankful for Bob, Grandma and Grandpa, Uncle Adam and Aunt Heather and her cousins for coming up to spend the afternoon with her at the pool!

Happy 8th Birthday Alex!
Lots of changes and growing this past year, can't wait to see what this year brings you!
