Gold Bracket

When we signed Alex up for softball...
We didn't know if she could catch a ball...
let alone get up to bat and hit the ball...

I thought this first season was going to be slow & boring...
With parents comparing it to watching paint dry....

Alex team only had 3 girls coming back for their 2nd year...
The rest of these young girls where brand new to the sport...
Some like Alex never playing softball or t-ball before in their lives.

Alex quickly surprised us by being able to throw the ball...
She even could catch the ball when playing 1st or 3rd base ...
As well as hitting the ball, even 1 game bringing the only runner in.

Softball is a team sport, and we need each and every player...
Alex team had 3 amazing pitchers who in the end carried our team through a lot of games...
Not to mention kept our games going allowing us to finish more innings and get up to bat more...

Without these 3 girls I can imagine our games being about as fun as watching paint dry...
They would have been much much slower paced, with much less action...
Not to mention the experience our girls got from more field play and batting.

It's safe to say Emerson brought the heat today at the tournament...
Pitching all but 2 innings I believe, she was on fire!

Gotta give her credit when credit is due..
This girl has a fast strong arm and I can't wait to watch her throughout the years.

While next year these 3 girls will be moving up to 12u....
Some of our 10u girls will fall into the role of pitcher...
Big footsteps to follow but with practice, determination and desire...
The girls wanting to pitch will find their spot and help carry the time.

To Be Continued ....
