Bentleyville '16

We headed to Duluth for a quick weekend getaway with the kids and my parents.
I hadn't ever heard of Bentleyville until 2 years ago and knew we had to get there with the kids.

I booked hotel rooms at the Edge Water Hotel ...
The packed included the hotel, water park, train ride to Bentleyville & Bentleyville.

We headed to Duluth Saturday early afternoon as we couldn't check into the hotel until 4pm.
We met up with my mom and step dad at Grandmas for a late lunch.

When we got to the restaurant Alex realized to forgot a COAT!
Thankfully papa had an extra one and I had a vest.

The wind wasn't blowing but it was about 8 degrees outside...
It was defiantly chilly.

We caught the Train to Bentleyville...
A fun way to get there and avoid crazy amounts of traffic.

It was a double decker train...
Of course the kids had to sit on the top!

The amount of people at Bentleyville was insane...
It almost made it unenjoyable because you where so close to others and so slow paced.

The lights where amazing though and they had so many different scenes.
Thomas the train, the troops, miss fit toys, dinosaurs and more.

They had different reindeer and characters around the path...
They also had cookie stands, popcorn stands and a smores shack...

The kids where troopers and allowed me to take lots of pictures....
Luckily everyone stayed warm in all their layers...

I love making memories with our family...
and I am thankful my mom and step dad decided to tag along and join us.

I honestly felt like this was a 1 time thing and don't feel the need to go back...
But I did love the short getaway and the water park was fun so maybe we will be back!

I think the kids enjoyed the swimming pool the most!
They had about 3 hours Saturday evening and 3 hours Sunday morning.
